An ACTUAL Tragedy Has Occurred
Adam Yauch aka MCA of the Beastie Boys, has died at 47. We knew he was sick for a few years, but it's still a shock. He was one of the great guys in music. Not only was he part of one of my favorite bands since the 80s, he was a spokesman for a lot of good causes. He influenced a lot of people in a lot of ways. I'm glad he made it long enough to get inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame this year.

I was going to send you a condolences email, but then i thought, "what if you didn't hear it from the news first and I was the one breaking the news?!" so then I decided to check here and I see you're on it.
Yeah, the Internet-age and whatnot. It's crazy because I'm listening to the FAN and hearing each caller call up practically crying, saying how they "heard the news," talking about "the end" and all this crap, and to think, they're talking about a guy who hurt his knee! While someone else has actually died!
I can just imagine these schmuck Yankee fans asking themselves "Where were you when you heard the Great Mariano collapsed?"
