Blue Jays At Red Sox, 5/21/2009

And finally--does Jacoby's 6 look like an upside down 9 to you? I've talked about the 6, 8, 9 confusion before--the bottom holes/spaces are supposed to be bigger than the top spaces/holes....

Oh, so I got there right at five because my mom and I did another Dirty Water event. It was at a country club--the annual event for the "Friends of Simsbury Library." So that's two fancy-ish ones in a row for us...and two mainly female audiences in a row. They said they had 99 people. Me and two dudes at my table were the only males there! We had a great time, met a lot of good people. Thanks to Julie and everyone else who helped out and/or came to see us! So that's why I didn't get there early enough to go on the Monster at 4:30--but it really worked out with that construction zone parking...

Also, the nightly Wave was a really long one. At least 8 revolutions once it got going, i.e. got past the "dead zone" behind the Red Sox dugout, ensuring a full revolution.
Jere, that first picture is absolutely fantastic. Then again, I tend to be a Sentimental Sam. I like the other panoramic shots too. Have to get a nice camera this summer, maybe for my birthday.
Thanks. Yeah it's not often I change the chronological order of the pics, but when I saw that one when I got home, I had to move it to the top. There had been people much closer, kind of blocking the view, so I waited till they left, and all I could really tell about these two is that they weren't blocking much. I had no idea the guy was pointing or anything.
But I do now recognize them--the dad had asked me, after the Jays took BP, if the Red Sox would be coming out, and I had to give him the bad news they they'd already hit. So he was just showing his kid the bullpens and stuff. I don't know what accent he had, but as you can tell by the kid's Bermuda shorts, black socks, and sandals, they weren't from around here. He was introducing the kid to baseball in general--good to see he's got a Sox jersey on him.

For the most part O'Brien will be with Castig every day except for Wednesday.
I'll be bringing my camera in July. Too bad it's a big friggen DSLR. But I brought it last September.
Next season I'd love to get a Standing Room ticket or two when you're going and go around snaping pictures and snagging empty seats. That'd be great.

I kinda know O'B's face, but that pic just doesn't look like my mental image of him, so I didn't wanna say it was him and have it turn out to be John Rish...or the coffee runner or something. Of course I heard the highlights in the car after, but couldn't remember if I heard O'B's voice.
Thanks.
Yeah, you should go to more games! Easy!

I'm w/ AJM...that first pic is one of my absolute faves that you've ever posted. Then again, I AM a dad w/ a son, so that was right in my wheelhouse. Especially since I was supposed to be at the Jays-Sox game last Wednesday night for my kids' first trip ever to Fenway and my first since '99, and we didn't get to get up to Mass...so yeah, thanks. Let the record show, (and I'm paraphrasing Bill Simmons now) at about 9:35am, it got a little dusty at Mattysox's house...
