O's-Sox Again
Update: We lose, 6-2. Traber shat the bed to put the nail in the coffin.
Yesterday, Nolan Reimold came up, and our announcers mocked him, I'm pretty sure just because of his name. Not so much Joe, but definitely O'Brien and Rish. The guy promptly crushed a massive dong. Today, the guy comes up again, and Rish immediately mocks him again: "the Nolan Reimold." The guy must have the broadcast pumped into an earpiece within his helmet, because again he goes very deep, to give the O's a 3-2 lead in the eighth. Hearing Rish for extended periods of time make me realize how smug he is. I hope we get as little of him in booth as possible in '09.
BucHHolz started this game and did pretty well. Pap finally gave up an earned run, though he didn't give up a hit.

Not a good weekend
My Heels stunk it up yesterday.
Bad news on Pedroia and Lugo.
No news on Bay.
Stinky showing against the O's today - 6 hits against the pitching they threw is not good.
Team USA struggling in WBC.
Weather down here sux - bigtime.
LL practice rained out and it's like 38' here, wet and miserable but not cold enough to snow.
It can only get better, right?
At least Dice is looking good - 1 K and no runs in 2 inn. so far, let's just hope he doesn't hurt himself.

Eh, it's all relative. It's 50 degrees up here:)
And really, the Bay news isn't a huge deal, Pedroia just has a strained abdominal muscle, and Lugo may be ready for Opening Day...

Carolina did get a #1 seed and gets to stay in Greensboro for the opening weekend
And Dice did indeed wind up with a nice showing - 8 K's no runs.
I do wonder about the fact that our guys would never have thrown him for 6 innings this early, but I know that's not really a problem with him.
