A win and a loss for us. Same for Tampa. Still 2 back. 5 up in WC over Twins AND White Sox, meaning if either one loses, we can't lose ground in that race. In other words, this thing's locked up. Update, 2:48: 7-3 Yanks in the 5th. 2-1 Red Sox in the 4th. And Minny down 6-0. If the games ended now--which they never seem to--we'd be one back going into the three-game set in Tampa. Update, 3:42: Both games going to the top of the 8th. Sox up 3-1, Yanks up 7-4.

Update: 4:20: SOX WIN, RAYS LOSE. ONE GAME BACK. Three in Tampa starting tomorrow. And Minny lost, so we're 6 up in the wild card with 13 left, regardless of Chicago's result (game delayed, still hasn't started.) Angels up 2-1 in the fourth--we're 3.5 back of them for best record in AL (and baseball) as of this moment.
