Girardi The Forgetful Type
Daily News:
"I've never seen Mo throw a wild pitch," said an exasperated Girardi. "Never in my life."
Okay, even if you've watched most Yankee games for the past 13 years or so, I'd say it's understandable to not remember any of Mo's wild pitches, up until the game-losing one last night. But when you were the catcher while some of those wild pitches were happening, as Girardi was in these three games, maybe it's not a good idea to say you've never seen it happen in your life.
Bonus forgetfulness: Mo also threw a wild pitch with "Noe Torre" behind the plate in this ALDS game. (Then again, if Girardi has never seen one, it couldn't have happened. Maybe that pesky mask got in the way....)
