Sterling Gold

this is an audio post - click to play

Click above to hear an all-time classic call by the yanks' Jon Sterling. He was talking about a play where Cano took his foot off the bag before catching the ball. If you have Gameday Audio, go to the archives for Ocober 7th. The play happens at 4:00:24. Then hear Jon rant about it starting at 4:04:33. Then, the call I have above is at 4:15:44. That guy is out of his mind. Only a "true yankee" would say, in case you can't access it above, "That was an awful call...even if it was right."

Comments:
John Sterling is AWFUL, especially since he's usually WRONG.

What a BLATHERING SHILL!

I GUESS YOUR MORE INTO THOSE SHILLS AND HOMERS ON NESN? WHAT'S HE CALLED AGAIN? REM DAWG? HELL, ALL THEY'RE ANNOUCERS ARE DAWGS!!!

I'm guessing a few of them are grammatically correct, though.

Anonymous, a Yankee "Fan": @ least on NESN, Gerald Remy, does inform & entertain, something which Michael Kay, is INCAPABLE of doing;

Imagine Kay & McCarver on FOX, or YES? Lo, Perish THAT thought.

About anonymous' comment: This person made the "your/you're" and the "their/they're" mistake in one comment! The holy grail!

Gerald,,With a J, please. These comments are all gold. See how the Anonymouses come out of their holes the team from New York dug for them. The only good that wears a Yankee uniform is Joe Torre.

I'll also admit to deep respect and admiration for Rivera, and just a bit for Bernie Williams.

That's as far as I'll go, though.

As to why The NY Yankees, never have names on the back of their uniforms:

Guys, like Anonymous, probably couldn't read the names.

I agree totally with your other "Yankees that I like" picks, Andrew.

Morgan actually made the same comment. He said something like, "as a former 2B, I don't like that call. Yea, he left too early, but... I don't like that call, it's a bad call."

WTF?! Seriously, when is this shit gonna stop?
