5 Up, 3 Down
On Monday I said I wanted us to gain two games on first in the next week, so we'd be three out going into next Monday's series with the Devil Rays. In two days, we've already accomplished that. Three back as we beat the Os and the Yanks beat the sluggish Rays. That last week is gonna be so boring when we pull away from them for the east title. We've also got a five game lead in the Andy Card now. WIth 23 left.
I was at today's game. Fun stuff. I felt like we eventually had to get to their pitching, since they planned on throwing several guys out there. Not hitting the first guy? No problem, a new one will be in soon. It worked out. So much crazy stuff in that game. I'll talk more about it tomorrow along with my posting my pictures.
Tomorrow's the Big Wait, as the cable/internet/phone people will be showing up between sunrise and sunset. I'll kinda miss sitting out here in the pitch black back yard...
Have I mentioned how utterly ridiculous it feels to hear Jon Sterling describing Yankee home runs and not only not turning it off immediately, but also not minding?

It was a GREAT game to all those who were patient for the Sox explosion. A few bangs and two big bings did it! I loved it. What about that Jacoby outfield catch? WOW!

Let's not count our division titles before they're hatched. I'm wary about the Sox in Texas this weekend, so I'm expecting that we go into next week's series at least three games out. But with Beckett, Lowell, Casey and (hopefully) Drew all returning, and a favorable schedule compared to the Devil Dogs, I think we still have a shot pulling it off.
