Finally The Final Opening Day Of 2008 Is In Sight

I guess if you told me two weeks ago we'd be 3-4 on the crazy opening trip, I would've reluctantly signed up for it. We'll just put this Toronto series behind us and concentrate on Tuesday. I'll be there with many cameras in tow in the grandstand. Ring ceremony. Flag raising. Gold.

Comments:
I'll be there. I certainly never thought I'd be going to a flag raising.

On the topic of strange ways to get tickets, I got an email a while ago offering the chance to buy tickets that had been confiscated from people who used "fraudulent information" to buy seats. It was mostly scattered single seats, but I was able to get standing room on the green monster for a Minnesota game.

That's crazy. I've never heard of them specifically having a sale for that, or for telling people about it.

In that sale, people got a lot of the tickets I *thought* I'd bought. Hey, maybe it's time I tell the full story....

3 - 4 doesn't sound like a very good road trip.
But then, most road trips aren't 14 days long, 20 days counting the pre-opening day stuff, with games in 3 countries on 2 continents, so....

Let me guess: when signing up for the drawing you entered multiple email addresses with different physical addresses, then when you bought the tickets, you got the information mixed up and the system caught the mismatch?

Not at all. It was way more "terrible job by them"-ish. But thanks again for reminding me--I'll tell the story tonight when i get out of work. Even I still haven't heard back about the letter I sent them.
